Resumen
Los CREIs son un servicio residencial de aco-
gida temporal para dar respuesta a las nece-
sidades educativas y asistenciales específicas
de adolescentes y jóvenes que presentan alte-
raciones conductuales que requieren una espe-
cialización técnica alternativa en su cuidado
y atención. Estos centros pertenecen a la red
del sistema de protección en Cataluña. Estos
jóvenes están en una situación de especial
riesgo porque a las circunstancias familiares
se añaden las alteraciones de conducta u otros
problemas que pueden obstaculizar una inser-
ción educativa en el mundo adulto. El objetivo
del trabajo será recoger estudios que descri-
ben tanto las características de dichos centros
como el perfil de los menores atendidos y rea-
lizar un análisis de los mismos concluyendo
con unas recomendaciones.

Abstract
The CREIs are a temporary residential servi-
ce to respond to the specific educational and
assistance needs of adolescents and young
people who present behavioral alterations
that require an alternative technical specia-
lization in their care and attention. These
centers belong to the network of the protec-
tion system in Catalonia. These young people
are in a situation of special risk because the
family circumstances are added to behavioral
alterations or other problems that may hinder
an educational insertion in the adult world.
The objective of the work will be to collect
studies that describe both the characteristics
of these centers and the profile of the chil-
dren served and perform an analysis of them,
concluding with some recommendations.
