Abstract The Granollers Day Hospital is a partial hospitalization facility that serves adults with severe mental health issues in crisis, with an average stay of 4 weeks. The main objectives for referral to the service are diagnostic assessment, adjustment of pharmacological treatment, clinical stabilization, and patient activation for subsequent follow-up at the Adult Mental Health Center (CSMA). The paradigm shift in the understanding and approach to people with health problems invites professionals to work on the recovery of hope, on accompanying the development of a self-determined and satisfactory personal life and on the design of a life project in accordance with personal preferences, rights and values. In this sense, the TSS team bases the group intervention on the Recovery Model in mental health and the Active Health Models. Within this approach, which focuses on the person as the first resource towards recovery, the group intervention is expected to have a positive effect on personal health assets, as well as an improvement in the perception of the participants' well-being and quality of life. The socio-educational groups, led by the TSS, facilitate, in this process, a space for support and learning, where they can acquire coping skills for daily life, enhance the capacities and strengths of the participants, promote emotional well-being and build a support network that ensures participation in the community, enriching coexistence in society without discrimination and in gender equality. This article presents the intervention experience using the socioeducational group methodology from Social Health Work at the Granollers Day Hospital. Key words: Social health work, partial hospitalization facility, Recovery Model, Health Assets Model, and Socioeducational group. Alma Vanesa Marzo Vega / Àngela Melero García
